Testimony and Unity Foundation

|      NL

The testimony and unity foundation was founded in 1962 and its name has sprung from the text of Acts 4:33: “With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all.”

Our aim is to proclaim the Word of God and to further the true unity of God’s children. Our footing to this is to bear witness to the Name of our God and Saviour, Jesus Christ, in commitment and in conformity to the Bible as God’s Word, against liberalism and disbelief. We are inspired to this by the prophecy which Rev. Leenhouts received from God in 1948.

The symbol of the almond twig refers to Jeremiah 1: 11-12: The word of the LORD came to me: “What do you see, Jeremiah?” “I see the branch of an almond tree”, I replied. The LORD said to me, “You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that My word is fulfilled.”

The Almond tree is the first tree that blossoms in the middle east. When all of nature is still in ‘hibernation’, the Almond tree is already in full bloom.
The symbolism of this text from Jeremiah is that God also ‘watches’ over His word to fulfil it. We believe that all of God’s promises are YES and AMEN, and that He is going to fulfil all of His prophecies – including the word spoken by Him in 1948 about His plan concerning Israel and the nations.
